Ranger Presentation: Adobe Construction

1-2pm, Percha Dam State Park

Adobe is a natural building material made from sand, clay, water, and some kind of fibrous or organic material - sticks, straw, and/or manure. Adobe structures are extremely durable, have great thermal mass, and account for some of the oldest existing buildings in the world. Join Park Ranger Larry Herrera and learn how adobe bricks and structures are made. Free with valid park pass.
