Welcome to Sierra County! Birding Pt 7

Animas Creek has the only stand of Arizona Sycamores east of the Continental Divide attracting southwestern riparian species such as Bridled Titmouse, Elf Owl, Brown Crested Flycatcher, Verdin, Cactus Wren and Acorn Woodpecker.  Exit 63 off of I-25 east to frontage road and turn left onto Hwy 187 heading north.  Look for paved road on left that heads west (marked by Animas Creek Nursery sign).  This is all private land and birding should be done on and along the road which runs about 5 miles with the potential to see some SE Arizona birds.
